I think what you really mean is which iPads use the same type of cable as your XR. You are looking for an iPad with a lightning connector.
If you go to the compare page: https://www.apple.com/ipad/compare/
You'll see that the 8th generation "standard" iPad uses a lightning connector. The latest Air and the Pros use USB C.

The 2020, 8th gen iPad comes with the 20W, USB-C power/charging adapter block and USB-C to Lightning sync/charging cable.
So, does the 2020 8th gen iPad.
Apple is supplying all of the same power/charging adapter blocks across all of the current iPad lineup.
Just substituting different power/charging/sync cable where applicable.
You shouldn’t fixate on iPhone Power Adapters - as these are, generally, inadequate to charge iPad devices. iPad requires considerably more power than iPhone.
You need to look at that iPhone power/charging adapter block and gives us the wattage rating.
It should be printed on the power/charging adapter block somewhere.
Don't make us guess.
I saw the specs. I still can’t tell which ones use the same charger as iphone xr. I’m looking for someone to tell me specifically which ones are compatible. Maybe I don’t understand some of the terminology. I just know at a specific ipad, the charger wasn’t compatible with xr.
Also, why wait a week????
Right.
The OP shouldn't be concerned with the cable (adapters are for that). The newer XR doesn't even include a charger and an old one may have had a 5 watt version. Or an 18 that doesn't allow "fast charging".
What charger are you using now?
Using an iPhone XR charger. I want an iPad compatible with that charger.
The iPad Air 4 (most recently released new model) uses a USB-C 20 watt charger. The same one Apple sells for iPhones.
