New iPhone XR saying password is wrong

I just recently purchased an iphone Xr but while trying to start it up, i connected it to my old iPhone 7. while connecting the apple iD, it's saying the password i was using for my old phone is incorrect but i know it's the right one because it was so simple.

It appears you are using Quick Start to transfer the data. Check to make sure you are folling the steps exactly as according to this support article:


Use Quick Start to transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - https://support.apple.com/HT210216


If you are having problems with Quick Start you may wish to consider trying a different method to transfer your data:


Click on this link to learn how to "Transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch". Select one of the three options: Quickstart, iCloud, or iTunes/Finder. --> https://support.apple.com/HT201269
