Family Guy: Season 19 - Not Available???

Does anyone with a Family Guy Season 19 Season Pass or Purchasing Episodes, Not Have Access to episodes that aired after #14 - "The Marrying Kind"?

I haven't been receiving automatic notifications of available episodes. However, when searching for the most recent:

#15 - "Customer of the Week"

#16 - "Who's Brian Now?"

Family Season 19 appears in the search result.

However, after being polite and spending an hour!!!, I got to the supervisor, and asked nicely, and they refunded for Simpsons and for Family Guy since both are no longer adding the rest of the eps (Simpsons stopped at 32/ep 16, so cannot see Uncut Femmes 17 unless join Hulu (which my Apple TV says is an option when I search for that ep.; FG stopped at 19/ep. 14, and so ep. 15 also only Hulu). Still, I got a full refund of my subscriptions ($35 each) so Apple did what they could to make it right. That's why I'm a loyal Apple-er on iTunes/Apple TV.

However, with 100s of movies and lots of tv, I hope they don't just evaporate after buying them! Maybe need to download ALL now...

Hey SPNY723 -

I don't know if you've read the Terms of Service or License Agreement for Apple & their individual services, but this isn't nice... Apple isn't required to Refund.

Unfortunately, you only purchase a digital License of the TV, Movie, Music, etc. ("Media"). Essentially, you have some form of Unlimited Rental access. If Apple or any Subscription Video on Demand ("SVOD") provider loses their primary license to the Media, then under conditions, your Unlimited Rental comes to an End.

This is completely opposite of purchasing a physical copy of the Media (cd, dvd, blu-ray, 4k, vinyl, etc.) your access to the purchased physical disc cannot be destroyed by the production company or the one that you purchased the Media from. You might know, but the only way the disc isn't working is if it gets too scratched.

Not for naught, but Apple & SVOD is essentially same as going to that formerly huge Blockbuster Video, but Apple & SVOD is digital and accessible online via streaming. That's also where a good handful of executives for some of these major corporations first worked (Blockbuster or a local video rental).

Industry sources are reporting that Disney intends to pull "All New" episodes of Family Guy from Apple.

Note: Aren't Conglomerates Great?!? I.T. is allowing conglomerates to force you to pay More for Entertainment. Disney owns over 40% of Ent. Ind.; they've already raised prices for D+, and licensing to syndicates (local tv). This means you're going to pay more for your basic cable, watch more commercials, and a lot of other things (e.g. specifically targeted Ads via streaming). :)

BTW: Both HBO's & Netflix's Universal Studios licensing contracts expire in 2021. NBCU already has a scheduled plan in place. They don't intend to sign new licenses with either HBO or Netflix. This means less movies will be available for you on your existing paid streaming services, in addition to one's premium movie channel.

Say, "Goodbye" to content you've been able to watch on Home Box Office (HBO), the First Premium (ad-free) Movie channel in Television History, founded 1972. Hopefully HBO's 50th b-day celebration isn't going to be a Blank Screen or Announcement of Discontinuing Services.

Hey AB83Rules -

If you want, you can always call Apple & see what they say.

Unfortunately, this is partially a consequence of OTT & Cord Cutting, primarily done by Millennials & Gen Z'ers, between 18 & 34 (roughly 90%).

All businesses have different agreements between each other, Disney (originally Fox) & Apple have one agreement, and Disney & Google have a different agreement.

When available, I feel the best thing to do is go out and purchase things (e.g. Family Guy: Season 19) on disc. Because you'll simply never know who will be streaming the show, how much it will cost, and how long it will be available.

Sometimes it's just easier to buy the physical disc first, then if you want to watch it whenever, get it through the Apple TV app, and add it to your local library, not that place with paper books, but with your purchased music & videos (pun intended).

Ouch! Spending an Hour?!?

That's nice that you got the refund for the discontinued series.

Some networks are putting their more popular shows solely on SVOD. Comcast is leaving Hulu, so now its 100% Disney owned. Hopefully, they won't pull FG from airing on Sundays, and putting it solely on Hulu. I wonder how Fuzzy will publicly respond; one of my friends is a writer for FG & already told me about Disney & other FG things.
