is there any way to copy links and paste them into a folder for future use?

I found a useful Communitites discussion about Activity Monitor and it included 4 links to other docs which look useful.

I would like to copy the links and strore them in a folder on the desktop.

Is this possible?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

Safari: Click and hold on the URL in the address bar: drag it to the Desktop.

Firefox: Click and hold on the padlock icon to the left of the address (even if it's crossed out) and drag to the desktop.

Why not save them in Notes.app, which is exactly the kind of use it was developed for.
