Finder won't let me copy paste/move app files from my Iphone

I am trying to copy paste files from my Iphone from the app DJI Go 4. I recently lost my drone underwater so I need to extract the FlightRecords folder from that app on my Iphone. After connecting my Iphone to my Mac I checked all the 'trust' questions to bind the two devices. I can then click on my Iphone in finder and go to 'Files' but can only view them. The only option after right clicking on any file is 'Delete'. Everything is up to date and all sharing settings are relaxed. How can I copy paste the files that I need? It is urgent as I need to send those files for DJI to review whether the drone loss was my fault.

No didn’t think so even though you said you could “only view them” in Files.

The iphone ecosystem usually has data stored in the app space

on the phone. Is there a share or export option in the app?

I would be surprised if the data was accessible any other way, unless they have a MacOS version of the app,

According to DJI in their PDF instruction, you can export those files by authorizing your Apple ID and you're ready to go. After locating the folders in the File Sharing in Finder under your Iphone (it used to be in itunes before) you simply drag them out. I watched some tutorials where people did exactly that without the problem that I have.

You first enter your Apple ID on your Mac (same as on your Iphone) so that they match. This would authorize the File Exchange. That part works, but then the files don't budge. Couldn't find any PDF but am waiting for their reply. The Youtube sources that I found do confirm that it is possible the way I was trying to do, but they are 8-10 months old.
