Number with an exponent in iPhone calculator

How to input a number with an exponent, like 5.E-7 (same as .0000005)) into the iPhone calculator?

Turn the phone sideways (landscape format) to display numerous additional math operations. Type a "5", then "EE", then "7", then "+/-". Type "=" to see result, which is 0.0000005. If the result has too many digits (too large or too small) to display in this way, it will revert to scientific format, such as 5e-7.
