LinkedIn pictures not loading in Safari. Clearing cookies/cache insufficient

This started happening a few months ago. Can't remember the version of Safari but let's assume Mac OS10.14 and later (currently running Big Sur).

Without warning LinkedIn stops displaying post photos, as well as the round thumbnail at the top of a contact.

I have successfully cleared the LinkedIn cookies and resolved the problem each time, but the fix validity is getting shorter: from a few weeks to less than one day now...

I don't get the issue in Firefox at all.

It may be a cookies, caches or extension problem

Please try these troubleshooting steps.

Go step by step and test.

1. Startup in Safe Mode:    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

    Login to your account.

    Launch Safari and test.

To exit Safe Mode, click  in the menu bar and choose “Restart”.

Launch Safari holding  the shift key down and test.

This step involve two restarts, fresh loading of macOS, a system check and emptying of system and font caches.

2. Enable Develop menu, click Develop in the menu bar  and  then Empty Caches from the dropdown twice.

Safari will remove all favicon as well. It will be replenished as you visit those sites again.

3. Disable extensions and test.

    Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Uncheck the box beside name of the extension.
