apple pay default device
When using Apple Pay on my iMac, it seems to default to my wife's iPhone to authorize purchases (yes, we share an Apple ID).
Is there a way to change this so it defaults to my iPhone to authorize purchases?

Hello chaunce322,
Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities! We understand the purchase authorizations for Apple Pay on your Mac are going to your wife's iPhone. We're happy to assist you with this.
Apple doesn't recommend sharing Apple ID's because it could cause issues like the one you're currently having. It's recommended that everyone have their own Apple ID and if you want to share purchases, you can set up Family Sharing: How to create a new Apple ID
This article explains how Apple Pay chooses who authorizes purchases: Use Wallet & Apple Pay on Mac
You can also have your wife to go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > (scroll down) to Allow Payments on Mac > turn this off.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities, and have a great day!
