an easier way to upload books to iphone 8

i listen to audiobooks . a lot of them. i have a folder on my pc that i store them on.

to upload a m4b file i have to use itunes. its a huge pain and fairly complex. i have stage 4 cancer and going to hospital soon. i do not use itunes for anything else. is there someway to do a drag and drop for my support person to upload more m4b files direct to iphone ? installing external memory on my i phone does not appear to expand my memory space to load more books and i only get 8-12 hours on my iphone.

to explain process to a non-techy is really bad.. 1. upload from pc to itunes, plug in iphone access itunes, access stored audiofiles open iphone copy (mostly guess work) into iphone, sync files and hope it works its frustrating for me and I have worked with apples since the apple 1... just a simple open folder on iphone and drag and drop.. is that so hard ???? maybe a EARLY version of itunes ???

Hello Kinkypuppy,

As shared above from ChristianRogers you can Download iCloud for Windows and Set up iCloud Drive. You can find the System requirements for iCloud to confirm if your PC is compatible. Alternatively, you can visit the iCloud site and upload your audiobooks.

Keep in mind, this may possibly require you to purchase additional iCloud storage depending on the size of the files and this will also take up storage on your device.

The steps under "Upload files to iCloud Drive to save changes made offline" in the following resource provides guidance on how to upload files to iCloud Drive: Access iCloud Drive files from your iPhone and other devices. Once the files are in iCloud Drive, you can Use the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to access them.

We hope this helps.

Hello Kinkypuppy,

We understand you'd like to be able to expand your iPhone storage and sync your audiobooks to your iPhone without using iTunes. We'd be happy to help.

Storage can be consumed on your device over time. As you accumulate new apps, messages, emails or documents, those items take up storage space on your iPhone. We understand you'd like to expand the storage on your device but this is not something that is currently available.

Regarding your audiobooks, the best way to transfer them to your device from a PC would be to use iTunes. Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer
