I am unable too see my Canoscan Lide220 with latest upgrade. Appreciate your help.

With latest upgrade I can no longer see my Canonscan Life 220. Appreciate all the help I can get. Thank you for reading this.

The last Image Capture driver (ICA) update for the CanoScan LiDE 220 was in early Oct 2020. There were a lot of Big Sur beta releases after that date, and several releases of Big Sur afterward — that this early release of the LiDE 220 driver were never tested against. You can install it and see if Apple's Image Capture recognizes your scanner under Big Sur, but that will be a big IF.


If Image Capture still doesn't recognize your LiDE 220 after this driver installation, you have two options. Go without a scanner in hopes Canon will release a 2021 ICA driver expressly for Big Sur, or download VueScan Professional, a paid product, whose trial will drive the LiDE 220 without any Canon drivers necessary, and which provides you with Canon Independence.
