Mac Pro (Mid 2010) running 10.13.6 stopped connecting to my Epson printer

I have a Mac Pro (Mid 2010) running 10.13.6 and it stopped connecting to my Epson printer Workforce Pro 3730. They were connected by wifi since we got the printer (1yr+) with no issues.

When I looked, the printer was listed in the Printers & Scanners section of the System Pref but would not run a print job. I removed the printer and downloaded the Epson software to reinstall. Now the printer does not show up in the add window, but I see the FAX 10.0.0.231 (IP) listed.

We have other (newer) Apple devices currently connected with no issue. The Epson driver/software might have been updated recently before the problem started. Not sure if that is related or a red herring.

Any suggestions?

Mac Pro, macOS 10.13

Hi,

To begin with, you may want to try to reset the printing system and re-add the printer.

Add a printer on Mac - Apple Support

The Epson WF-3730 is mentioned in the article About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting the driverless AirPrint technology, so it should be possible to add it as an AirPrint printer without drivers.

Drivers/software from the printer manufacturer may or may not add functionality.

If necessary, try the following: Power off the router, the printer, and all computers and other devices. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait another two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on all computers and other devices.
