Why can’t I use my MasterCard for my Apple ID

Been trying to add funds/ make payments with my MasterCard but it keeps say failed payment method please how do I rectify this issue?

Possible fixes. Fix ‘Your Payment Method Was Declined’ Error In App Store

Payment method declined in iTunes or the App Store.
