Migration Assistant and Factory Reset

Hi Folks!

I have used Migration Assistant to transfer my data and information from my MacBook Pro 2012 to my new Macbook Air 2020. Is there anything else I need to do with my MacBook Pro 2012? Or can I just go ahead and do a factory reset on the MacBook Pro 2012?

I'm asking as I'm a little worried that if I reset the old MacBook I still may lose my data even though the Migration Assistant was successful.

Cheers! :)

Hi,

Try to back up the data on old MacBook Pro on external HDD with TimeMachine, then old MacBook Pro makes factory reset.
