contact names

the contact names have disappeared on text, how do i get them back?

First connect to WiFi network, and then go to:

Settings -> Apple ID (Your Name) -> iCloud.

Find Contacts in the list, if disabled, then enable.


If enabled, disable - then reboot your iPhone and go back and enable the contacts.

If your contacts have returned, then the names should also be available in the Messages app.


If your contacts are COMPLETELY gone. Then they can be restored here:


From a PC or Mac, go to: https://www.icloud.com

Go to Account Settings. Scroll down a bit. In the Advanced section, you will find "Restore Contacts"
