My warranty has expired, but i can't seem to get Support unless i have made a purchase in the last year? What does one have to do?

I need to speak to Apple Support, regarding a single thin horizontal line running across the monitor of my Mac Book Air, (purchased in 2015).

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2

You can have your MacBook Air examined at the Apple Store or an Authorized Service Center when they open or contact ➔ Apple Support
