iPhone garage band: Existing suggestion regarding about metronome

The metronome ought not to be recorded when plugging my instrument (a Yamaha Arius YDP-164) into my phone

i am a beginner pianist. I want to be able to play to the metronome and then use the captured track without a clicking sound.

I don’t want to use any software in addition to garage band. I just want to be able to connect my Yamaha’s usb to my iPhones lightning connector and play to a metronome without recording clicks.

it is not feasible to use an external metronome as the recording system in GarageBand is set up to record in bars which would not be in sync if playing to an external physical metronome
