Restore stuck

my phone seems to be stuck restoring from backup. My phone is plugged in and on WiFi. Should I stop the process? This is keeping me from upgrading the iOS

iPhone 6s, iOS 12

"Stay connected and wait for a progress bar to appear and complete. Depending on the size of the backup and the network speed, the progress bar might need a few minutes to an hour to complete. If you disconnect from Wi-Fi too soon, the progress will pause until you reconnect." Have a look at this link to learn more:

Keeping that information in mind, we'd suggest allowing the restore to complete. This link provides more information:
