Apple Pencil Gen 2 no connect to iPad

Apple Pencil Gen 2 isn’t connecting to iPad (new model). Bluetooth is on and the icon “Apple Pencil “ is showing up but when tapped on nothing is happening. Help would be appreciated.

I have updated and restarted the iPad. The tip of the pencil is fully tightened.

Apple Pencil Gen 1 not working on IpAD Hi My apple pencil gen 1 using wit iPad pro 10.5, it connects and pairs, shows in Bluetooth but does not respond to the iPad for anything, writing or scrolling, etc where could the issue be, is there any other setting to be set or checked. pls advise asap
