How long does this actually take for Apple to deregister this number from imessage so I can start receiving messages to this number?
Again, Apple does not de-register this number. You must do it.
Who does deregister it then? Apple controls the iMessage server.
Yes, Apple controls the server. But the issue is the Original Poster never indicated (s)he commenced the de-registration process.
I took it that once they did do so from that link they wanted to know how long it took.
Ah, OK, if that's the question, I could only guess the answer.
Honest reply posted but deleted by Apple. That says it all about this product
It doesn't work. Did that multiple times, changed apple ID and password, called Apple and they deregistered me and still no messages after 24 hours. Ridiculous.
