Hello,

Since you have an iPhone 12 pro max, it is compatible with any qi wireless or magsafe charger. All iPhone 12 series iPhones are compatible with magsafe and older models can only work with qi wireless standard. For a regular wireless charger put your phone down with the back facing the wireless charger and it should start charging. If it is a regular wireless charger without magsafe and it does not charge the phone, try moving it slightly on the wireless charger. For magsafe chargers, its the same process as a wireless charger but there are magnets so the phone is secured to the magsafe charger and it will align properly so the chance of the phone not charging and having to move it are much lower.
