I am unable to watch Channel 4 on my MacBook ? I used to be able to . Any reason why I can't now ?

Welcome and welcome to the newest MBA with M1 CPU. The computer and the OS is not the source of your issue. The issue is Channel 4 using old methods to encode their Videos. Suggest contacting Channel 4 Directly and explaining what you are experiencing. Perhaps - they ( Channel 4 ) are not aware of their own outdated issue.
The Search Engine has Zero bearing on watching Channel 4.
If Channel 4 Videos do not load / play it is either the version of macOS is outdated or as perviously mentioned - the Codec Used by Channel 4 to encode the videos are incompatible with Safari Browser.
Channel 4 might be using Codec the OS does not understand / compatible with Safari.

I now have the same issue with ITV hub. I can watch live tv but nothing on catch up. This along with Channel 4 not working makes me think it’s a setting within my MacBook Air ?
This is now happening with itv hub aswell so guessing it’s my set up ?
