Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library/Audio. See if the driver is there.

Also check the hard drive level Library/Audio.

Edit a MIDI configuration

  1. In the Audio MIDI Setup app  on your Mac, choose Window > Show MIDI Studio.
  2. In the MIDI Studio window, click the Choose MIDI Configuration pop-up menu (it may show Default), then choose Edit Configurations.
  3. Select a configuration, then click Duplicate, Rename, or Delete.
  4. When you’re finished making changes, click Done.

Thanks for this -- I have no experience running scripts, but I did look all over for any Yamaha SM7 stuff I nothing that I can find is left. I would then not know how to scrub for it via scripts and the searches are coming up empty. so really this is not at all helpful I am sorry. Is there any suggestions? I would really love to clear this up. It seems that whatever is in there is grabbing ahol of a port at startup and not letting go. The device is not greyed out and cannot be deleted...
