my iphone 11 pro max has broken front screen. My device has covered apple limited warranty for hardware repair, i went to apple store for repair but they did not fix my issue. Then , they are like “your device is not covered apple warranty so you have to pay $429 for the screen. “

There is a lower Screen Repair price for folks who purchased AppleCare +. However, this does not apply in your situation. Again, the warranty has no effect on the Screen Repair price.
Your warranty protects you from manufacturing defects. A broken screen is not a manufacturing defect.
