Thank you for your reply. But for you to know I might have been exposed, that means you have someone private health information.

First of all, this is a user-to-user forum, so I do not have any private health information. Neither does Apple. And Apple does not know if you have been exposed.

If you install a tracing app (it’s not a tracking app) the app communicates anonymously with similar apps on other user's phones over Bluetooth when you are within 10 feet of them for several minutes. If you have told your tracing app that you have been exposed, or they have told their app that they have been exposed, then the app notifies the nearby user’s phone of potential exposure. The app does not tell you immediately, so there is no way to know who it was that you were exposed to (or that you exposed). All of this communication is anonymous and encrypted. None of this information is reported to Apple or to anyone else; it is saved entirely on your phone. The system has been implemented on both Android and Apple phones, and the requirement that it be anonymous was a requirement from Apple for Apple to participate.

Some governments are unhappy with this arrangement, because they want to be able to trace infected people, and this system does not permit identifying the users involved.
