“Away text message auto reply” option

Does the iPhone currently have, or is Apple willing to include, a feature on the iphone that allows "away messages" for texts? It could function in the same manner as an auto reply driving message, but paired with the "do not disturb feature." The purpose would be to detach from the phone without other people freaking out when the person who is trying to be reached is INTENTIONALLY unavailable. Currently, I manually turn on the auto reply feature with a custom message. But I have to use the driving feature. Therefore, if I’m not actually driving, it turns itself off whenever my “smart phone” widens up to the fact I’m not actually going anywhere. So then my peace is interrupted. Please consider doing something like this for those of us who want it. Thank you, tons!

You can use the Auto-reply driving message manually. Just change the message to something more appropriate and turn it on manually. It's not going to come on automatically but it's something to use until such time as Apple considers adding the feature you really want.
