As @ Sean_W. has provided the link, Suggest before doing anything, make Time Machine Backup. Also, very special notation. Catalina does Not Support Anything 32 bit. That is, Applications, extensions and or Driver for anything. Do check with the Developers of all the before mentioned for 64 Bit updates and or upgrades.
And additionally, use the free Go64 application to determine what 32-bit applications you presently have that will not run on macOS Catalina. You may want to stop at Mojave (10.14.6) which still supports 32/64-bit applications. Your data files are not 32/64-bit affected.
