IPad Unresponsive - bricked?

Hi,

I'd love some tips on what to do next. This IPad is not covered by warranty or care anymore, so it would be costly to repair it. It's a 10.5 inch IPad Pro. It suddenly went black when I was using it to play games. I did a hard reset and the screen lit up but no logo came on. Earlier I still heard it make sounds from pressing the buttons so I don't know what's going on. I've plugged it in to charge now.

Please tell me it's not 'bricked', I still believe it has some life in it! How can I revive it? Really appreciate any help, thank you TT_TT

If iPad isn’t responding, do one of the following:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Note: If iPad still doesn’t turn on, or if it gets stuck during start up, see the Apple Support article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t turn on or is frozen.
