I would also recommend protecting your Apple ID with Two-Factor Authentication.

Read the documentation carefully, especially the parts on setting up trusted devices and on the fact that, once you have enabled it, you only have 14 days to disable it.

Four things:

1. Do NOT jailbreak your iPhone.
2. Do not let anyone have physical access to your iPhone.
3. Only use apps from the Apple App Store. Even be diligent with those apps.
4. Change your Apple ID password. If you are extremely concerned, change it every 3-6 months.

Being a beta tester and 2 dollars will buy you a tall drip coffee at Starbucks.

Unless you shared your iPhone passcode, Apple ID and password and phone with this person they could not have hacked you. If you did do this then you need to change your Apple ID password, put your iPhone in DFU mode and set it up as t new device.

Your television can't be used for hacking your jaw. In fact, it can't be used for hacking much of anything.

If you explain what it is you're seeing on your phone that has you concerned, perhaps someone can help you sort it out.

If someone is threatening your life, the call you need to make is to the police. Do that now.

Yes, it's perfectly normal. It means the microphone on your phone is working properly.

Yes. It is normal. That's the indicator that the microphone is in use. When you make a call, the microphone is in use. If it were not, no one would be able to hear you.
