iPhoto Library Upgrader.app 8.1.

Hi,

When I try to open an old Aperture library from 2013 on Big Sur I am informed that I need to upgrade to the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1. However when I run this the message is displayed that I need to use v8.1

Can you supply the link for this download.

Thanks

Lal

The iPhoto Library Upgrader is no longer compatible with the recent versions of MacOS. It contains 32-bit code and and the last system versional where you could run it to prepare older iPhoto Libraries has been macOS 10.14 Mojave.

The iPhoto Library Upgrader needs to be run to prepare iPhoto Libraries from iPhoto 7.1.2 or older. This will allow us to open the old iPhoto Libraries with Photos for Mac and to create Photos Libraries from them to access our iPhoto photos. Using the iPhoto Library Upgrader tool - Apple Support

You should be able to open any Aperture 3 library in Photos without running the upgrader tool.

Neither Aperture nor iPhoto are supported on macOS 11 Big Sur because this system version does no longer include some frameworks that Aperture and iPhoto need to run.

On Big Sur and Catalina you will be seeing iPhoto Library Upgrader version1.1 crossed out as incompatible. all migration of iPhoto and Aperture Libraries should have happened on macOS 10.14 or earlier.
