I disconnected my Airport Extreme which I am no longer using, and wanted to delete the Airport Utility, but all efforts do not let me select it for deletion.
Any help will be greatly appreciated...

At one time......10+ years ago......it was necessary for users to download and install AirPort Utility for their Macs.
Actually, most users did not actually download the application, they installed it from a CD that was included with the AirPort.
I believe it was Mountain Lion that first built AirPort Utility into the Mac operating system and every new system since that time has included AirPort Utility.

AirPort Utility is an integral part of the operating system on your Mac and as such it cannot be deleted.
Thanks. That makes perfect sense. I thought I had installed after buying the AirPort Extreme but I probably just had to look for it to install the hardware.
