Could the battery be damaged?

I was at the airport and put my 2018 MacBook Pro laptop through the xray machine and when I went to turn on my computer I only got a dim light on my screen but no display. I waited 48 hours, which was recommended but the display never came up. Could it be the battery? I am at a loss as what to do.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15
