Question: SSD won't Migrate

About year ago I bought 2 Samsung SSD’s

Samsung 4TB SSD 860 EVO Solid State Drive 2.5" MZ-76E4T0B !! NEW

And

Samsung SSD 860 PRO 4TB

I have been having nothing but trouble with the Samsung 4TB SSD 860 EVO

The PRO works perfectly.

Recently my MacBook Pro 2012 crashed and I had to attempt to reinstall the OS from an exact backup using my Samsung SSD 860 PRO 4TB.

I have tried everything to get this backup copied.

I have tried to migrate it from my Samsung SSD 860 PRO 4TB several times. I have also tried using carbon Copy Cloner several times also. Also used SuperDuper and the same result.

When I migrate my data it always tells me that my user could not be transferred. All other users transfer find but my main user will not transfer.

When I try to clone it it always starts with a flashing ?

It will not show me the 4TB drive I used.

However if I use Target mode it will boot my main computer perfectly… And has no errors or problems as per Drive Utility. But to go back to the backup 2012 MacBook Pro it again always gives a flashing?

Both drives have worked fine until that backup crashed. Now the SSD 860 EVO will not boot it at all while booting the main MacBook Pro perfectly but only in Target mode.

I really need to have inexact backup and would sincerely appreciate any help to get it to boot my backup MacBook Pro.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15
