Why am i asked to put a passcode for google pay to open it

Every time i want to use google pay it prompts for passcode. I have to put my phone too on passcode this is highly aggravating

Google Pay is not an Apple product. Contact the app developer here --> App Support or Google Pay Help - Google Support

Alternatively enable FaceID

Settings > Google Pay > FaceID [Enable]
