I am trying to cancel an ABC mouse subscription and it is now shown on either ipad to cancel and ABC mouse website said i had to cancel through itunes account. my apple music account only has the apple music listed.

How was the subscription initiated originally? Was it started on an Apple device? Their website? A non Apple device?
If it does not appear on the current Apple by following the steps in the support document you came from then. it was either not started with the Apple ID you are currently using, or was not started on an Apple device.
If it was initiated by a child on a different device, it may be tied to a child's Apple ID rather than your own, in which case you would need to log in to that Apple ID, to find and cancel it.
If it was started on a non Apple device or on their website, then it would need to be cancelled through the other device or their own website option.
