Why does "Profiles/MDM wants to make changes" keep popping up on my macbook every 10-15 minutes?

The screenshot above shows what I am seeing every 10-15 minutes. I keep clicking Cancel but it keeps coming back. It started happening just a few days ago, and I am not trying to control or change anything on my computer. I am concerned that it may be malware. I ran Malwarebytes and quarantined the 3 items that it returned, then restarted my computer, but it is still popping up. Help!

Is your MacBook Air being managed by an IT group with an organization you're affiliated with, or is your MacBook Air used in conjunction with or to connect with an organization, as those would be typical cases for devices with profiles? If so, check with the organization for information and assistance.

Download and run EtreCheck, and share the report to the clipboard. Then open a new reply here, and press the button that looks like a printed page to get a text input box big enough to paste the hardware and software configuration report here.

I don't see anything that would immediately link to that pop-up.

I do see some stuff I'd consider changing. If not using Java, I'd remove it. I'd remove Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight too, as they're both dead. If I was not (cautiously) using that Torrent app, I'd remove it. And if I was, I'd update it. Apps acquired by torrent can be... privacy and security problems—cracked apps can be malware.

For testing purposes here, I'd remove the anti-malware app.

Your DNS is busier than I'd expect, as is the system profiler, though it's not clear why that's the case.

As for the Mac hardware, it's obsolete, your battery is shot and in need of replacement, and your storage is running rather too slowly, and you're short on storage and short on memory.
