IPadpro works only with face recognition? Not with finger touch ID?

The TouchID sensor is incorporated within the physical Home Key - or for iPad Air4, the sensor is incorporated within the “Top” (Sleep/Wake) button.


iPad Pro and many models of iPhone instead use FaceID - that uses a sensor that uses the front camera and IR dot-illuminator. These models do no include a TouchID sensor.


All current models of Pad and iPhone use either TouchID or FaceID - not both.
