iPhone 12 Pro photo halo

My new iPhone 12 Pro has a halo effect on images when i shoot outside - I have never seen this on any other iPhone I have had since the first - is this a fault with this new 3 camera model?? Thanks

Top left of the photo just out of shot is the sun.

Without a lens hood any large aperture camera will do that.
