Apple Mail Complaint: Unable to format letters attractively
It's time Apple Mail caught up with Outlook and other email programs that allow you to format email attractively. Graphic designers like me are often Apple users; projecting a good corporate image is MORE important to us, not less.
I need to create centered tables of email text, so that lines of text don't run on for 24 inches across the user's screen. This should not require copying and pasting from MS Word. I should be able to use different colors in the side columns of a table and background of a letter to produce attractive cover letters and newsletters. Ten years ago, Mac Mail allowed this.
Tonight I tried to insert centered masthead artwork in a table of text copied and pasted from Word. No matter what tried, or what image format the logo was, the image would not stay centered in the table; the recipient saw the image at the extreme left, outside the table.
This is a bug with Mail, and I'm fed up with it.
