What is the issue you have come across? It is a bit hard to decipher by your wording.
Compatibility:

What is the issue you have come across? It is a bit hard to decipher by your wording.
Compatibility:
If you are asking why you cannot install Big Sur on your Mac, it is because you Mac is incompatible with it. See here: macOS Big Sur is Compatible with these Computers - Apple Support
Your questions are valid and understandable but Apple has made the decision what computers Qualify and what computer do Not Qualify.
As there Forums are only Apple Users to Apple Users - we can not give definitive answers to your question beyond what has already mentioned.
Perhaps sending you question / comments directly to Apple via Feedback would serve your needs better. Apple does read the comments but does not always reply
Instead of just directing people to the compatibility page, can you explain why it isn't compatible with the mid-2012? Is it something in the hardware? Can the MBP be updated to be compatible? What is so different between the mid-2012 models and the 2013 models in order for the mid-2012 to be incompatible to download Big Sur?

Compatibility:
Simply put: Your MBP is incompatible with Big Sur because its hardware does not meet the hardware requirements for Big Sur. So, consider upgrading to a much newer Mac. As time goes on, certain Macs will not be compatible with macOS versions. If you think about it 9 years from now, a 2021 MBP likely wouldn't meet the standards of technology in that year(2030). I guess you could say it's the way Apple gets you to upgrade your devices to newer technology.
