iPad notifications keep clearing themselves

Hello,

This morning I checked my notifications on my iPad and saw a bunch of stuff from Twitter. After that I checked my iPhone’s notifications and didn’t clear any there. So after reading the notifications on my iPhone, I was gonna read the ones on my iPad but they disappeared when I unlocked my device.

This is the second or third time this has happened to me. I don’t know why my iPad keeps clearing notifications by itself. Like I said, I didn’t clear a single notification on my phone if that has to do anything with it.

Could this possibly be some weird software bug?

I did update to iPadOS 14.5 yesterday when it was released and my notifications don’t seem to be clearing themselves anymore. Thanks for this information, this solved my problem.

We appreciate the information. Software updates can include new features, updates to features, fixes, etc. Since iPadOS 14.5 was recently released, we recommend backing up and updating to it.

From our understanding, you check notifications on the iPad, afterward check notifications on iPhone but do not clear anything. After reviewing the notifications on the iPhone, you go to review them on the iPad again, however they disappear when the iPad is unlocked.

To make sure we understand, this only happens when you check the notifications on the iPhone and then return to the iPad, correct? Also, does this happen with one app or multiple apps?

If you haven't, we suggest restarting the iPhone: Restart your iPhone and iPad: Restart your iPad Also, we'd like to make sure the apps are up-to-date: How to manually update apps on your Apple device on both devices. This will ensure both devices are using the same software.
