Apple Watch 5 excercise ring

why doesn't the exercise ring app not log all my exercise time? I can do a 30 minute workout and although my workout app keeps accurate time, the exercise ring does not. Some day even I am walking slow it will count exterior minutes other day brisk walk will not even register in exercise ring

This is like the best answer thank you. My understanding is that it’s really math & numbers: for example I went on a mountain bike ride, my HR peeked at the top of my range several times. Out of the 1hour 15 min my exercise ring gave me credit for 29 minutes. So, that means my HR was below the 75% most of the time. Right !? Do some exercises require the 75% threshold and others not? Like weights & yoga? If I am right; traditional cardio exercises track for that 75% threshold right? And the more fit one is the harder to get up that threshold, correct ? Thanks
