volume control of airpods pro via apple watch 6 while calling

I have read a lot of people have same problem - suddenly, while calling, they are not able to control the volume of their airpods using the apple watch crown ( it was possible before)

Has somebody of You the same problem?

I know it is a small emount of people, maybe thats why Apple ignores the problem.

It is very annoying. I was at the genius bar today, they were not able to find a solution and even to find out, where does the problem come from.

And all they say is " maybe the software update will resolve the problem".

Yeahhh. Maybe!! 🤬

Any other ideas, guys?

I installed the latest update and found a way to get it working now. Perhaps this was possible before too, I am not 100% sure anymore..!

Anyways, to the get the volume control working, during the call, first tap the icon bottom right and pull the call to your Apple Watch. Funny enough but that seems necessary even when the call was placed from the watch to begin with. That is apparently how the GPS only model works by default. Perhaps it is different with the cellular model and it owns the call right away.

Then, tap the three dots bottom right and direct the audio to your airpods. That is the critical step. After that volume can be controlled with the digital crown.

Final point, if you dont pull the call to your watch, the volume can naturally be adjusted using the iphone.

No, everybody says it doesnt work. But they were "surprised" and when the guy from genius bar checked it out on his devices, it did not work. But when I bought the watch I worked. so...

it is funny how they are always "surprised" and never know about this kind of problems. I mean, we write it here, people write it in the net. Information exchange is enormous. Apple should be first who read "news" like that and react on them, shouldnt they? What are this discussions and communities for?

Thanks for your answer, dear
