iPhone Bluetooth security?

We were stopped at a stoplight, talking about Bluetooth in the car, and the question of security arose. We have late-model iPhones running iOS 14.4.2. If we paired an iPhone to the car's stereo system, could someone in the car stopped next to us pair to our car and listen to our iPhone?

No. They could see your phone in their bluetooth settings, but if they try to pair to it your phone would ask you if you accepted the pairing.
