You tried a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?

If you are still having issues with your iPad, I suggest you search online to locate and call contact your nearest, “local” Apple Store location to try/attempt to make an appointment to get your Apple iPad diagnosed and options presented you.

No, Apple has not remotely caused any issues with your iPad; your iPad developing an issue at this time is nothing more than an unfortunate coincidence.
Tried everything Even on laptop with iTunes to reset. Nothing but black screen. Changed power leads and chargers.
Funny think I was on Apple shop last week to check the price of the new Mini. Went as far as getting a quote for trade in and gave S/No to get refund cost but never completed deal. Has Apple shut it down remotely ???????
NO I have tried all the resets. It's totally bead screen
