The Keynote will be available to stream on apple.com, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and the Apple YouTube channel. On-demand playback will be available after the conclusion of the stream.

If you use the Control Center icon it only disconnects the local connection until 5am

If you want to prevent that then either turn off Wifi in settings or turn off auto join on the connection in question. (In the blue (i) icon)
