when i save files to my icloud drive they always go offline after a couple of days which is really annoying if i want to use them offline because i have to go online and then redownload them , is there any way of stopping them go offline?

If this is occurring on a Mac then it is possible it is from Optimize Storage being used: How to free up storage space on your Mac. That feature will remove files automatically when storage space is needed, so it could be one cause if you use that feature frequently.
If this issue is occurring on an iPhone, take a look at the guidance for accessing files offline with Files app: Use the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Scroll down to the section titled "Save a copy of your file locally".

From your post it looks like you are running into some trouble with iCloud Drive not saving files for more than a couple of days. We are happy to help! Does this happen when uploading files from all devices or just specific ones? Also do you mean that you are needing to go back to iCloud Drive and redownload the files to your device they are being shared to? Or are you needing to reupload the files to iCloud Drive from the original device again? Those answers can help us narrow down what the cause of this issue is.

it’s every file and i only use my phone to upload files onto icloud. They’ll have a little cloud symbol in the top right hand corner of the file and it redownloads onto my icloud when i tap on it but i can’t do that without wifi obviously which is the problem because i want to use these files offline
