Zip drives have been obsolete for over 20 years. Please use an external HD to back up the folder. You should also be using Time Machine to backup the complete computer. If you are not familiar with Time Machine this is Apple's strategy for backup on Macs. You can learn more about it by clicking Back up your Mac with Time Machine.
