Autofill old contact number appears iMessage

Hello, when typing a name on iMessage on a mac an old text message number appears for said contact.

  1. There is no contact card with that number on mac or iPhone.
  2. The number is located under no other contact
  3. The number has been forgotten from recent on iPhone and does not appear when using iPhone iMessage
  4. I am on the newest OS on my MacBook and iPhone
  5. I deleted the old contact card fully and even made an abbreviated name for the new contact card and number, but even still the old name and number will be an option from the drop down.

Please advise.

What I have experienced is when you keep using the iPhone regularly the contacts with whom you interact recently and regularly will only appear here.

If you do not interact with a contact then it will disappear automatically.
