Numbers version 11

Hi for some reason since updating to Big Surge and Numbers version 11, any spreadsheet with dates in is the date converted to 5 or 6 digits.


I have no idea how to change this.

That doesn't look like Numbers for Mac running under Big Sur!


Were those "dates" by any chance imported from Excel? If so they became date "serial numbers" during the importation, and you can try converting them to Numbers date-times by inserting a column with the formula:


=DATE(1900,1,1)+D2−2


assuming the serial number is in column D.


Copy this down the column, check that the date-times are correct, select them all, command-c to copy, Edit > Paste Formula results to "remove" the formulas, then either delete the column with the serial numbers or copy-paste your Numbers dates into that column and delete the added column.
