I want to import all of my Microsoft Outlook folders into Apple Mail

Currently I run two email accounts on my MacBook Air.....Microsoft Outlook and the Mail app. I want to export all my Outlook folders and content into Mail folders. How???? thanks in advance.

"On My Mac" Email Folders - Outlook for Mac Have used Outlook for Mac (MS Office 365) for many years. That program allows a nice hierarchy of "On My Mac" email folders and subfolders for storage and access of emails. I have hundreds of these. The "New" Outlook for Mac released a year or so ago does NOT support "On My Mac" folders so I have to consider converting to Apple/Mac Mail instead of the "New" Outlook moving forward. Questions: 1. Does Apple/Mac Email support "On My Mac" folders and subfolders for email storage and organizing? 2. Is there going to be a problem with converting the Outlook "On My Mac" folders and files to Apple Mail folders and files? Thanks for any direction you might give me. Migrating from Outlook for Mac to Apple Mail I’m ready to finally transition from Outlook for Mac (version 16.66.2) to Apple Mail, as part of a move away from an old iMac to a new M2 MBP, and am looking for advice on how to migrate all of the old mail and attachments over to Apple Mail. I’m currently on a Late-2013 iMac i7 27” running Catalina version 10.15.7. Any suggestions or guidance welcome. Thank you!

from outlook to mail I have had my MacBook Pro for nearly three years and have always used Outlook for my mail etc. I was informed by a good friend that I would find it better to use Mail. (I have the iApple watch and the iPhone 7S) What I want to know is this right, and, how can I transfer all my mail and folders from Outlook to Mail. I have a number of folders with mail collected over the years that I want to keep. Thanks Tony

It turns out you can simply drag and drop your mail folders to a folder in Finder. This will automatically create an Mbox file, as illustrated below.
